Dude that's wild. I've been itching to pick a 5900X because that's probably going to be the capstone for my AM4 board but putting this into perspective:

1732785754441.png

5900X is ~$18.90/core
5900XT is ~$19.31/core
5950X is ~$19.75/core
That's under $10/thread all around but WOW the difference.
Entry 3000 is bottom dollar but 3000 is matching 5000 on the upper end.
The timing is weird but this looks great.

Ninja edit: Aaaaand it's gone. Next sale pl0x.

I didn't even know a 5900XT with 16 cores / 32 threads existed. It seems like a great processor for ~$300 USD. I've got a RyZen 3950X and 7950X. However, I was thinking of building a server or NAS and have a new unused new Asus ROG Strix B550-F Gaming motherboard (and all other necessary parts). I just need a processor. I was thinking about buying a RyZen 5 5500 from Microcenter for ~$79 USD but not sure now. I reckon 5500 would use less electricity which is a plus for ~24hr use.
