The Great Plan slowly appears then... the X3D's are gaming optimized, the non X3D's lost that in favor of non gaming tasks.

Product segmentation through optimization. I kinda like it. Although this better mean the X3Ds are a good bit faster - and not just compared to 9000 series X.
