I admit by nature I'm cheap, VERY cheap most of the time and always on the alert for high-end innards and inexpensive cases (because I usually end up doing major Dremel surgery on them). I made a big score last week of a CPU, mobo and AIO cooler. I already had everything else with the exception of the RAM I just got off Ebay. Tomorrow I start cutting the hole in the top of the case to externally mount the AIO radiator and fans. I'm still trying to decide if I'm going with a Corsair 240mm or 280mm setup since I have both and all needed fans.

CPU: i9 9900K Craigslist w/ the mobo below and a Corsair H110i Pro RGB Platinum $340 for all three in like new condition
Mobo: Asus ROG Maximus Hero XI Wi-Fi
Cooler: Undecided yet. Most likely a $50 280mm Corsair H115i from Craigslist
GPU: Sapphire R9 390 Nitro Backplate Craigslist $100 but looking for a used Vega 64 if possible. All of my XFX Fury X's are in use
Audio card: Asus Xonar D2X Craigslist $20 everything still in the original box and parts packages. Looks new
Case: Rosewill Future: Craigslist $15 decent but dusty, no dents or missing parts. Came with a M-disk DVD burner included
RAM: 64GB G.Skill TridentZ DDR4 3600. 4 x 16GB sticks. $147 for first 32GB (arrived this morning), $152.50 for second 32GB (should be here Tuesday)
PSU: Seasonic X-850. Had it on hand
NVMe: 500GB Samsung 970 Evo Plus. Had it on hand
Various 1-4TB WD and Seagate spinning rust drives: Had them on hand
Fans: Undecided: Have a large collection of 120mm & 140mm on hand. Delta 120mm 252cfm "Finger removers", 140mm Silverstone FHP141's 170+ cfm, 120mm Silverston FM121's 110cfm, countless 120 & 140mm Corsairs
Operating system: Win 10 Enterprise LTSC. Have KMS license

When completed it may look like a 6-7 year old PC other than the obvious external radiator and fans on top (great for more space inside the case and lower temps) but the performance should be rather snappy when properly configured and overclocked. All go and no show.

That should be a fun project. :)
I hope you have a fan controller laying around or an easy 7v mod handy, because some of those fans are insanely loud at 12v.

The noise doesn't bother me and regular fan controllers can't handle the Deltas. I use 12 volt Molex connectors on them.
