any alternative to razer synapse to adjust mouse settings

I bought a Razer mouse last year which I'm now greatly regretting, the problem is the Razer Synapse installer will pop up everytime you plug in your mouse and I think most people believe it's spyware because it runs in the background all the time for some reason and overall its juts not a very good application. Does anyone know of an alternative to adjust polling rate and maybe some other basic things or is Synapse the only option?

Unfortunately i don't think there is any alternative to that cancer software, at least there wasn't 8 or 9 years ago when i tried to work around it. Maybe there is now but i doubt it.
That cancer piss poor excuse of a software synapse and the build quality was what made me switch from using razer mice exclusively to anything else BUT razer mice.
I would have gotten over the execrable build quality, i would have just bought more mice, but that synapse crap was the last straw.

SAME. My stupid mistake was to get a Blackwidow keyboard that was available in local shop and has double language key labels I needed and has a backlight, price was 100 and it's fully mechanical. Clicking is nice but keyboard sometimes "freezes" or randomly inputs stupid symbols. However, this happens randomly and rarely only after restart at login screen. Any more of this BS and I will giveaway that crap to some people for free and buy a new one. "software" is same POC as a "corsair icue" one.

So if it works WITHOUT sw and you don't need to disconnect the mouse every time, let it be as is until you are full of this and get a new mouse. You can also see from where "popup" goes and try to "block" it maybe by anti-virus software maybe??

I am using keyboard without software on new windows reinstall as thanks God this POC has memory for backlight color I set and happy with lol

It's so annoying because dpi, poll rate settings could easily be built into windows with maybe a driver from razer but I guess they'd prefer bloated spyware instead. I'm just getting a basic office mouse next time because sometimes you can change setting for windows with them without external software.

Found interesting info:

Microsoft Defender marks WinRing0x64.sys driver as malicious

Microsoft Defender antivirus has started classifying the WinRing0x64.sys driver as malicious.

This driver is used in PC monitoring applications such as Razer Synapse and SteelSeries Engine. The reason is the CVE-2020-14979 vulnerability, which allows for privilege escalation in the system.

App developers, including Razer, recommend updating their software to the latest versions. Microsoft Defender quarantines the driver as it can be used for attacks.
