just got a kit of ripjaws and im trying to identify what ic's these use but thaiphone(16gb/1die)(H5ANAG8N[M/A]JR-VKC) doesnt reveal the truth
4000 18 22 22 42 1.4v 042 code s820c so far i can tell is that there either mjr or mfr

I mean, you said it. 042 code is authoritative. Thaiphoon only makes poor quality guesses based on what it can decode from SPD info.

S820C would be 16Gb CJR. Which sounds about right, 16Gb CJR scales higher on speed but a bit looser on timings than 8Gb CJR, but otherwise similar.
