I bought a AOC Gaming G2 CU34G2XP/BK WLED in Sweden as i live there for 4489sek/428.62$. In US it is much cheaper but the shipping costs is around 200$. It is the deluxe model to CU34G2XE/BK. It has PiP. 2 DP 1.4 ports, 2 HDMI 2.0 ports, a 3.5mm audio output, 4 USB ports and AC power input (internal power converter). 4489.44kr. Basic HDR10 support is provided at the VESA DispalyHDR 400 level. So not very bright by HDR standards and no local dimming required – plus a restrictive colour gamut by HDR standards. But enough to give a different look to things with 10-bit colour processing put to use. A 1ms grey to grey response time is specified alongside 1ms MPRT using the MBR strobe backlight setting, approach with caution as usual. ‘Low Input Lag’ is also noted. The stand provides tilt, swivel and height adjustment and can removed using a quick-release catch to reveal provision for 100 x 100mm VESA mounting. The ports face downwards and include; 2 DP 1.4 ports, 2 HDMI 2.0 ports, a 3.5mm audio output, 4 USB ports and AC power input (internal power converter).

I thought of the 32" models first but since they are from 2020-2021 and costs around 400$ in Sweden i took the 34". The 32" models often miss HDR and pip.

3440x1440 180 Hz VA is pretty good.

I have 2560x1440 240 Hz VA from Samsung and the only thing I could consider an upgrade would be OLED 4K240.

I don't see how you can expect any of us to answer that. What does a "great" buy mean to you? Does it work as advertised? Do you like the display? Do you feel you got ripped off?

Only you can answer those.

In any case, it seems to be a moot point now. You already bought it.

The choice of a curved monitor is VERY personal. One thing to note, because the screen is curved, there really is only one "sweetspot". That is, just one ideal spot to put your head. And that is a specific distance, straight out from the center of the display. Any side-to-side, or movement closer or further back WILL alter the viewing angle of the left, right, or both sides of the display, causing one or both sides of the image to fade in and out.

For a single viewer, this may or may not be a problem - depending on how still you sit while using the computer. I have some friends who love their curved monitors. And I have some friends went back to flat screens and are glad they did so.

If there are more than one viewer, only one will have an ideal image. For this reason curved TVs (in multi-person households) have been a dismal failure.

It should have HDR 400 but i cannot use HDR in Windows 10. It stands that the 3 options in control panel is not avaible.

Is this with the Dell PC from your other topic? Check that your system (whatever it is) has Displayport 1.4 or newer, earlier standards often don't support the HDR extensions from what I've gathered.

I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 (Gigabyte) Windforce to this screen. I guess it do not support HDR? or DRM Even if the functions can be turned on in the screen.

Yup, that card's limited to DisplayPort 1.2. I do vaguely recall reading that some 1.2 devices were able to pass HDR, but the card not supporting 1.4 might well be the issue here.

What is the max time you can have the same picture on or the desktop visible without risking damage to the pixels. A tv use to have 5 min. I have got what i think is a little pixel damage as I could not remove it. It is smaller then one dot. But it is visible when it is white. Example when i view explorer.

On a normal LCD like those AOCs? Days, if not weeks or months. Not something I would worry about at all. What you're reporting sounds more like a stuck (sub-)pixel, which unfortunately just happens sometimes.

Thanks. My pixel is not white. Black or dark blue. I have not tried to restart the computer yet. I guess it has nothing to do with it.

You see the little dot uppger right. I tried the program. No luck.

There should be another way to fix when you press carefully on the pixel when the screen is off and turn it on again. Should i hold on the pixel while turn it on?

I have this to a Dell T3500 with PCIe 16x 2.0. I guess i never could use the screen in HDR with a old 2.0 pcie? Or the graphics hdmi 2.0 fully out.
