1 and major point is the OLD FASHIONED connector using almost obsolete cable with old out of date connection to ps 4 mobile and any other new device they supply the connector in old style not the new current connector for almost all devices in 2017/ 2018 dissapointedwith this to say the least

I'm confused to what the point of the thread is. Someone complaining about a connector for no real reason?

im not sure, but i think he's unaware that it comes with Several choices, which any decent headset should. but i still use 4 pole 3.5mm

this is the 4 pole plug here. 4 refers to the number of metallic bands on the male end. hell, id like to have some of these adapters, you never know when you'll need them. one of my kids headsets uses these forms of plug, and i can tell you it has saved me $$$ on more than one occasion, namely, not having to buy a different headset for Console, & PC, & Mobile :) makes me a happy camper....one sennheiser headset for PS4, XboxoneS & PC, & android

I read the title and thought it was about thermal paste and assumed something with steel in it

I also thought the same. It's actually called the "Arctis 5" pretty close:laugh:

Good catch. I was thinking TIM too.
not the new current connector for almost all devices in 2017/ 2018
Of course, that is no where near true. Apple phones maybe - because Apple loves to gouge their customers with proprietary ... ...umm, "innovations"? But the 3.5mm jack is still very widely used across all industries for headphone and mic applications.

And for the record, the 3.5mm connector is old, but that does not make it obsolete - or most importantly, "inferior" when it comes to "fidelity".
