Are these settings optimal for the i7-10750h?

Hi all, I have a Dell G550 with an i7-10750h and an RTX 2070. I only recently started undervolting my cpu has it overheated from time to time beforehand, these are the current settings I have applied on throttlestop as of writing this, would anyone have any recommendations for tweaks? If there are missing screenshots that might help with fixing settings, tell me and I'll get them back here :D

Do you always have Disable Turbo checked? That seems kind of extreme. A 10750H will only run at a maximum speed of 2.60 GHz when Disable Turbo is checked. Instead of Disable Turbo I would lower the turbo ratios in the FIVR window if you want to control heat output. Is your Dell laptop cooling really that bad that you cannot run your laptop anywhere near its rated speed without thermal issues?

I never bother undervolting the Intel GPU or the iGPU Unslice. When you are playing games, you are using the Nvidia GPU so the voltage going to the Intel GPU does not really matter. You can end up with instability without any significant difference in power consumption. That is why I do not bother. Maybe if you are trying to watch a movie using the Intel GPU while running on a limited amount of battery power, maybe then reducing the Intel GPU voltage might be useful. I would not bother when plugged in.

An offset voltage of somewhere between -70 mV and -80 mV seems typical for similar 10th Gen mobile CPUs. If you are 100% stable at -80 mV then that looks good to me. Can you complete a TS Bench 960M test without any errors being reported at that voltage setting? I consider that test to be a minimum level of stability. Any errors during this simple test and I would increase the voltage until the errors went away.

I like setting IccMax to the max, 255.75, just to make sure it does not cause any throttling issues. I also set Power Limit 4 to a value of 0 which seems to disable this unnecessary power limit.

I usually do not bother checking the BD PROCHOT box. If your laptop does not have any BD PROCHOT throttling problems showing up in the Limit Reasons window then you can leave this as is.

I've had Disable Turbo checked since I started undervolting and it seemed to keep temps below 80c (iirc without any turbo ratio changes it'd run at 90c+ causing it to overheat), I'll disable it then do some tests with it, I'm going to lower the turbo ratios to 32 and see how hot it'll run underload.

And yes, I've been able to run a 960M TS Bench test with no errors so -80mV seems to be a stable undervoltage, I'll also apply max value to IccMax, the PL4 values to 0 and change the Intel GPU and iGPU Unslice to normal.

BD PROCHOT doesn't seem to pop up on the limits window so I'll leave that as it is for now, Final question I have is should I be applying / enabling stuff in the TPL window such as Power Limit Controls, Speed Shift and TDP Levels?

Thanks for giving some recommended settings too!

Many settings in the Miscellaneous section of the TPL window are for older or low power U series CPUs.

I like to check the Speed Shift box just to make sure that it is being properly enabled. Your screenshot shows SST in green on the main screen so it looks like the BIOS is enabling Speed Shift automatically. When Speed Shift was first introduced in the 6th Gen CPUs, many motherboards did not bother enabling it. Most recent laptop computers seem to enable Speed Shift automatically now.

No need to check TDP Level, Power Balance or the PP0 Power Limit.

If you can find a way to improve your cooling, you will be able to run your laptop faster. If you have not cleaned it out recently, there is some motivation for you.

I'll leave everything in misc unticked then, I'm guessing I should leave Power Limit Controls as they are too? the most I've changed since the og post was unticking disable controls and I'll see if anything can help slightly with cooling too.
