ASRock Rack Inc., a leading innovative server company, announced upgrades to its extensive lineup to support AMD EPYC 9005 Series processors. Among these updates is the introduction of the new 6U8M-TURIN2 GPU server. This advanced platform features AMD Instinct MI325X accelerators, specifically optimized for intensive enterprise AI applications, and will be showcased at AMD Advancing AI 2024.
ASRock Rack Introduce GPU Servers Powered by AMD EPYC 9005 series processors
AMD today revealed the 5th Generation AMD EPYC processors, offering a wide range of core counts (up to 192 cores), frequencies (up to 5 GHz), and expansive cache capacities. Select high-frequency processors, such as the AMD EPYC 9575F, are optimized for use as host CPUs in GPU-enabled systems. Additionally, the just launched AMD Instinct MI325X accelerators feature substantial HBM3E memory and 6 TB/s of memory bandwidth, enabling quick access and efficient handling of large datasets and complex computations.
With the rollout of the latest AMD processors, ASRock Rack presented the 6U 8-GPU rackmount server, 6U8M-TURIN2, powered by AMD EPYC 9005 Series processors and AMD Instinct MI325X accelerators for real-time AI inference, high-precision training, and cost-saving efficiencies. In addition to the 6U solution, ASRock Rack has enhanced its 4U rackmount GPU server offerings by introducing the 4U10G-TURIN2 and 4U8G-TURIN2. Both systems support elevated memory speeds of up to 6000 MT/s.
"We are committed to advancing AI server hardware, as we believe it is the backbone of innovation. In our pursuit of revolutionizing AI technologies, we are excited to showcase the 6U8M-TURIN2 MI325X at AMD Advancing AI 2024," said Weishi Sa, President of ASRock Rack. "With the AMD EPYC 9005 Series Processors and AMD Instinct MI325X, this server delivers exceptional performance and efficiency to meet the evolving demands of modern AI-enabled data centers. We are delighted to strengthen our collaboration with AMD, driving innovation and supporting our customers' success in a competitive market."
ASRock Rack Continuously Expands Server Roadmap for AMD EPYC 9005 Series Processors
Alongside the GPU servers, ASRock Rack has expanded its product catalog with a selection of innovative server boards. The dual-socket TURIN2D48G-2L+ stands out with 48 DIMM slots, delivering maximum memory capacity, while the TURIN2D24G-2L+ and TURIN2D24TM3-2L+ each provide 24 DIMM slots and can support memory speeds of up to 6000 MT/s. All three boards are capable for the top-of-stack 192 core processors. Furthermore, the TURIN2D16-2T/ROT is designed to accommodate a platform firmware resilience (PFR) module in m.2 form factor, enabling root of trust (RoT) authentication and ensuring secure boot processes. ASRock Rack's complete server collection with SP5 socket is also ready to support the AMD EPYC 9005 series processors with a BIOS update.
Server Systems:
"5th Gen AMD EPYC processors and the latest AMD Instinct MI325X accelerators deliver the compute capabilities our customers require for their most demanding AI-enabled data center workloads," said John Morris, corporate vice president, Enterprise and HPC Business Group, AMD. "Our highly performant compute technologies allowed us to build an advanced, diversified enterprise portfolio that addresses the rapidly evolving needs of our customers and the modern data center."
The firsthand ASRock Rack server platforms will be showcased at AMD Advancing AI 2024 on October 10th at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
