ASUS today announced the end-of-September availability of ProArt Display PA147CDV, a creative tool that's designed to empower creators and streamline creative workflows. It features a 14-inch, 32:9 (1920 x 550) IPS panel with 10-point multitouch and Microsoft Pen Protocol 2.0 stylus support. It also includes the intuitive ASUS Dial and customizable Control Panel for shortcuts in supported Adobe creative software. The panel is pre-calibrated to Delta E 2 and covers 100% sRGB and Rec. 709 color spaces for exceptional color. The multi-award-winning PA147CDV is well-equipped to cater to creators' needs: it includes a specially designed mechanical kickstand for perfect viewing and working positions, plus it features one HDMI and two USB-C ports. PA147CDV has a multi-award winning design, earning accolades that include the 2021 Good Design and Computex d&i Gold awards.

ProArt Display PA147CDV empowers creators and helps streamline creative workflows both in and out of the studio. Content creators can connect PA147CDV to a laptop for a dual-screen setup and fine-tune their projects on compatible Adobe software via ASUS Dial and Control Panel, or take notes or sketch with a stylus. The customizable Control Panel on PA147CDV puts the tools and functions creators need front and center, enabling quicker adjustments for a more efficient workflow. Additionally, a split-screen mode allows for different apps to be shown side by side.

The upgraded ASUS Dial located on the left-hand side of PA147CDV's base is customizable and allows users to access various functions in commonly used creative apps like Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects or Lightroom Classic. Spinning the ASUS Dial lets the user select different tools or execute commands without having to navigate tool bars or menus. Lastly, Microsoft Pen Protocol 2.0 stylus support allows users to easily jot down or sketch ideas on PA147CDV whenever inspiration strikes.

Exceptional colors
With wide-gamut 100% sRGB and 100% Rec. 709 color coverage, ProArt Display PA147CDV offers vivid imagery, ensuring deeper primary colors like red, green and blue, plus richer secondary colors. This creative tool also features exceptional Delta E 2 color accuracy so images are accurately reproduced onscreen, allowing creators to see exactly how the final artwork will turn out.

PA147CDV is pre-calibrated at the factory and Calman Verified to guarantee industry-leading color accuracy. Each ProArt product undergoes meticulous testing to ensure smooth color gradation to guarantee the very best visuals.

Convenient features
PA147CDV has a multi-award-winning design, earning accolades that include the 2021 Good Design and Computex d&i Gold awards. Its patented mechanical kickstand has a smooth fold-out action and allows users to adjust the tilt angle for perfect viewing or working positions. PA147CDV can be laid flat on the desk to do some sketching, or raised to an almost-vertical position to view timelines in a video editing app.

A host of input ports are included to cater to the needs of creators. Two USB-C ports deliver video and power input over a single cable, while the HDMI provides an additional connection to various input sources.

Free Adobe Creative Cloud subscription
Adobe products are central to creative work in many industries. ASUS has partnered with Adobe to empower creative workflows with the renowned Creative Cloud suite of apps and services. Every purchase of a ProArt Display PA147CDV in select regions includes a free three-month subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud worth up to $238.47 in value. This gives creators access to over 20 apps, including Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects, along with 100 GB of cloud storage.

The Creative Cloud subscription can be applied to a new or existing account and can be redeemed via the registration site. The redemption period ends November 15, 2022.

I would like to see this concept in a larger screen. 20" - 24" for example should still be small enough to sit under a monitor as a second screen for example.

This is rather similar in terms of the panel.

Touch screen and keyboard.

They could do a lot with the idea to improve it, but unfortunately the screen isn't adjustable. There are some standard keyboard height adjustment on the feet, but that's rather limited. Honestly though it reminds me a lot of the Atari ST 520 PC's, but like with a screen integrated into it and a bit smaller foot print and more slim at the same time. Now if the screen could articulate like the high end Akai MPC screen's it would be dope. Combine that with a like 2560x720 resolution, 10 point touch, a graphics tablet stylus pen that tucks away into the case itself, low profile key caps and optical switches, and integrate a android chip that can stream moon light to the device along with Bluetooth audio and midi integration plus a pair of midi over mini jacks perhaps and the USB-C output and they would have something pretty rocking.
