ASUS today announced the availability of ZenScreen Duo OLED MQ149CD, a portable monitor with two OLED screens that provide users with a versatile workspace offering more onscreen area than a standard 20-inch monitor. Each panel boasts a 1920 x 1200 resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio. OLED display technology ensures bright, crystal-clear visuals that stand out even in brightly-lit environments. This versatile monitor has a durable 360° hinge and fold-out kickstand that allows for flexible workstation setups, suiting a wide range of scenarios. Split, Extended, Independent, and Mirror modes provide even greater flexibility.

Compact, unique design
The portable MQ149CD offers a perfect blend of elegance and practicality, weighing just 1.07 kg and measuring just 14-inches when folded. When unfolded, its two screens offer the equivalent onscreen area of a standard 20-inch monitor. Thanks to its 360° hinge design, the monitor can be used in a variety of positions, including a unique Tent mode in which the two displays face opposite directions, allowing for convenient one-to-one presentations.

Vibrant, true-to-life colors
MQ149CD offers amazing viewing experiences with its brilliant OLED panel and HDR technology, enabling it to showcase over one billion colors. It offers cinema-grade 100% DCI-P3 gamut and Delta E2 color accuracy, making it the ideal portable monitor for productivity and entertainment. Additionally, the monitor offers exceptional viewing experiences thanks to its high perceptual brightness and deepest black hues supported by a 100,000:1 contrast ratio. In addition, DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification enables MQ149CD to deliver extremely crisp and clear details, even in the darkest scenes.

Unmatched versatility
MQ149CD offers multiple display modes for a wide range of scenarios. Extend mode allows for on-the-go multitasking, ideal for working and cross-referencing information across several screens. Split mode allows MQ149CD to display content in a single, waterfall-like view for coding, reading long documents, or online meetings. Independent mode assigns each screen to different sources, allowing for convenient multitasking across the user's laptop or mobile devices to unlock new workspace possibilities. There is also a unique Mirror mode that shows the same content across both screens, enabling easy sharing of content.

In addition, MQ149CD supports ASUS DisplayWidget Center software. This tool allows for easy adjustment of various monitor settings including brightness, contrast, color temperature, multiscreen configuration. Additionally, the auto rotation function that automatically switches content between landscape and portrait modes.

Effortless connectivity
MQ149CD requires just a single USB-C connection to duplicate or extend a compatible laptop display across two screens. The USB-C port handles power- and video-signal transmission for plug-and-play convenience. Along with two USB-C ports, a Mini HDMI port ensures broad compatibility with various devices.

Ergonomic workstation setups
A built-in standard ¼-inch screw thread socket enables MQ149CD to be mounted on any camera tripod, allowing users to adjust the monitor height for comfortable viewing.

Eco-friendly packaging
The MQ149CD offers energy-efficient performance and is ENERGY STAR -certified. Plus, the monitor is shipped in FSC Mix-certified packaging for sustainability. The lightweight, eco-friendly cardboard box it's packed in keeps overall volume to a minimum, for more efficient shipping.

Mini HDMI is the most fragile and useless connector ever invented.

I suspect they are focusing on using USB-C but had to give something for backwards compatability.

I wonder what the power draw is as the 60 watt mention is pretty scary if you are powering it off your laptop out in the field.

But almost nothing uses mini HDMI, so they could just as well have used micro HDMI which is a sturdier connector, despite being smaller. I used to have a camcorder with mini HDMI and I was always worried when plugging it in, which didn't happen very often.

Why would that be scary? You can power that from a decent power bank these days.
