ASUS today introduced the Dual 4K USB-C Dock, a device that adds connectivity to your ultraportable that only has one or two USB type-C ports. The compact docking station takes in a single USB-C connection, and puts out dual 4K-capable display outputs either encapsulated with the downstream USB-C ports, or the standard HDMI connector. There are a total of three USB downstream ports. One of these is a type-C with 10 Gbps bandwidth, the other is a USB type-C with 100 W USB-PD passthrough and 5 Gbps bandwidth; while the third one is a USB type-A with 10 Gbps bandwidth. Lastly, there's a 1 GbE wired Ethernet interface. The USB-PD passthrough port allows you to recharge your notebook while using all of the downstream connectivity. The device measures 104 mm x 44 mm x 14 mm (WxDxH), weighing 98 g. The company didn't reveal pricing.
