ASUS mainboard BIOS update

Hello Forum,
I just seen a new BIOS update for my X870 Creator, and wondering how to upgrade my board with no impact on my setting.
Is there a built in way to preserve my setting for the new BIOS in there?
Really not looking into to the hassle to writing notes about my setting onto a paper.

you may want to save your current BIOS settings as a BIOS profile, then load it back after BIOS update. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

My Asus x670 mainboard has a feature to save settings to a vfat usb stick. (please look if you have that option in the advanced menu)

it works sometimes but not always. One of many uefi updates could not play back the settings from usb recently.

I keep several uncompressed uefi version on that usb stick in sub folders.

The dram settings i keep pictures on my smartphone or screenshots on my windows desktop.

I also recommend turning of asus armory crate in uefi

It's not bad idea to make photos of specific settings with your phone, just to have it stored in another location, as _roman_ does with memory.

Well,
It did not save - or not all
Strange, the setting regarding to the second PCIe access mode (to access it 4/4)
RAM voltage and timings are gone
Maybe next time!

It should never keep your BIOS settings after a update. Code changes and it's dangerous to reuse a saved profile. That's why it should be erased every update.
