Hello everyone,
I have an ASUS ROG Strix G17 (G713PV) laptop with a bricked BIOS. The usual Ctrl+Home, USB flash methods, and EZ Flash haven’t worked—screen stays black, no POST. I’d like to use a CH341A programmer to reflash the SPI chip. Does anyone know if there are labeled solder pads, test points, or a service/debug header on this board that I can connect the CH341A to (CLK, MISO, MOSI, CS, VCC, GND) without having to desolder or clip directly onto the BIOS chip? I tried the chip clip and I can't get it to make contact to the pins so if this board doesn't have a service/debug header, then I will have to desolder.
Any tips, schematics, pictures, or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
