Greetings Gentlemen.
ASUS ZENBOOK DUO PRO (UX581GV) / i7-9750H / RTX2060 / 16GB
is a thin laptop with a verySHIT weak cooling system. In stock = throttles all the time. Naturally, such a laptop is bought for professional work, not for games and no one needs stability problems.
Especially in Cubase, Premier and other programs associated with high requirements for comfortable work.
After spending 3 days in tests with Trottlestop, I got the following for stable work:
WINDOWS 10 / HIGH PERFORMANCE / COOLERS MAXIMUM
THROTTLESTOP 9.6 / HWiNFO64
1. OPTIONS:
- Change and Lock PROCHOT offset 4 to 3 (I'm not worried about processor temperature, but no one knows what's around and I don't want to go beyond 97 degrees just in case)
- Add Nvidia GPU
2. TPL
- MMIO Lock (Recommendations from UNKLEWEBB)
- Change Power Limit 4 140 to 0 (Recommendations from UNKLEWEBB)
- Change PP0 to 0.0010 (Recommendations from UNKLEWEBB)
I lost many time with Power Limit Control tests before change Turbo Ratio Limits.
No ERRORS, no Throttling in TS Bench (with PL1 50 / PL2 56 / TTL 28), but permanent Red and Yellow Alerts (PL1, PL2, EDP OTHER)
and RED POWER in the main window during tests
CINEBENCH20 - approx. 2450 (of course bad result).
3. Turbo FiVR Control
- Change Voltage Core -170 (Calculated empirically)
- Change Voltage Cache -110 (Calculated empirically)
- Change all IccMax to 225.75 (Recommendations from UNKLEWEBB)
- Change Turbo Ratio Limits 45/44/43/42/41/40 to 45/43/41/40/39/37 (Calculated empirically)
4. MAIN
- Add Log File
- Speed Shift EPP - OFF (Recommendations from UNKLEWEBB)
5. TS Bench & Limits
- NO ERRORS / NO FLAGS / NO FLASHES
6. CINEBENCH20
Nevertheless, in the stress test AIDA64 - approx. 10% throttling.
Please, look with a fresh eyes, maybe I missed something.
Logs during the TS Bench and CINEBENCH20 tests are in attachments. I'm looking forward to your advice.
Best regards.
