Ati PCI Latency help please...

I was wondering what to set my Video Card PCI Latency latency timing at? I have a X850XT which is AGP.

I also noticed in my motherboard's BIOS that the PCI Latency Timing is set at 32.

What would you guys recommend for me to set these two timings at? My video card was set to 255 by default.

Thanks for the help.

IMO, leaving the PCI latency to 32 is the best thing to do, as different settings can cause odd behaviour, such as any onboard sound being used to start popping and crackling during playback. If your not haviing issues, you can try setting the latency to 16, if you are havinf issues with the default latency, try increasing it to 40-48.

I wouldn't stuff around with AGP latency. OC'ing an AGP or PCI bus will get you very little gains, and introduce a whole lot of problems and possible incompatibilities with PCI cards especially.

Uh..., leaving PCI latency to 32? Anyone know what is the latency for ATI card? Are all the ATI cards have the same latency?

From the Guru3D Mirrored link

AGP video cards DO have PCI Latency timers. PCI Express cards DO NOT have PCI Latency timers.

Not a lot of info, I searched for a half hour this morning and another hour or so this evening and didn't find much other than what I posted! Look at the guru forums and make and good estimated guess and go for it you can always change it back.

OK Pic 1 is Version 2.0 Pic 2 is Version 3 from your link. As you can see in 1, I highlighted the adapters, and in 2... well no adapters to highlight!

#15 links me to the PCI Latency Tool 3.1 which doesn't offer me any Video Devices.
