Hello!

I got this motherboard on eBay as a repair project as I find it fun and challenging. I have no background on this motherboard, CPU pins are fine, but there was a little bit of damage to the socket plastic. The problem is that when I turn the motherboard on I get solid red light on DRAM and no post or a continuous jumping back and forth from CPU and DRAM light.

RAM could get 1.1v and 5v on the ram slot itself. I checked VCORE voltage and I got the voltages shown in the picture. There is a coil of VCORE that is giving me 200mv but I don't know if that is normal. I tried to flash bios multiple times it seems to go through but I still get no post and red light persist. Bios chip is getting 1.8v which is right for the model. There also seems to be damage on two of the tantalum capacitors on the back of the motherboard but it can also be flux.

I am really out of ideas on what it could be so any input is GREATLY APPRECIATED! Thanks in advance!

Have you confirmed the Ram works with that Motherboard, and the Ram slot is clean and the fingers inside are not damaged?

Buildzoid might be able to point you in the right direction, otherwise you might need to become an apprentice to northridgefix...

What happens if you pull the memory out? Does it go solid DRAM LED? It should. If it stays on cpu, there would be the issue before the memory.

Also, you could try a diagnostics speaker near the front panel and look up the beep codes. Might give more direct indicator of the actual issue/s.

My DRAM light is already staying on red. Just sometimes it jumps back and forth from CPU to DRAM
