I'm having issues with my new samsung sh-182 x18 DVD writemaster jobber. Or, perhaps i'm having problems with the NERO bundle. When I attempt to write a DVD, it sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. But when I exit NERO, my whole machine seems to .... convulse....for a minute.
By convulse I mean the machine freezes for a few seconds, then all the desktop icons disappear for a few seconds (maybe 10), and when they reappear, all the icons from the tray are no longer present except for my McAfee. Looking in taskmanager shows them still active though...like ATItool.
This is my 2nd Samsung drive, and it does exactly the same thing with both units. What can I try besides NERO to burn ISO/data/video to DVD?
