Looking to buy a new microphone, specifically for gaming purposes.
I plan on keeping it for years, hence willing to spend a bit to get a good quality one. Hoping to score a usually more expensive mic for around $200-300 with some Black Friday deals.
Should I get an XLR Mic + Audio Interface or stick to USB?
Open to all recommendations, even if it means increasing the budget for something that is worth it!
Important note: The reason why I'm mentioning it's for gaming is NOT because I care about the aesthetics / RGB / some niche (useless) "gaming" features, but mostly to point out the fact that there will be furious mechanical keyboard sounds and I need a mic that is capable of transmitting my voice without the keyboard noise.
Maybe it's a matter of better placement of the mic, a specific type of microphone (dynamic? condenser?), polar pattern (cardioid? shotgun?) or a combination of everything. You tell me.
