Hey all,

I'm theorycrafting about what possibilities there are for connecting the Bigscreen Beyond to a PC besides the included link box. Is the standard the same as a version of Thunderbolt or a USB4 implementation, and if so could a PCIe add-in card take the place of the original link box and carry the connection over a single cable?

It's should work but I doubt you would be able to use a cable that would be long enough. The link box lets you extend the Beyond 5.5 meters away from your PC. I don't have a beyond to test but if you find out let us know. I know it uses a fiber optic usb-c cable along with the Link box. I wonder if someone could try the Quest fiber optic cable.
