Bitspower Intros Touchaqua Sedna Kit for Lian Li O11 Dynamic Series Cases

Bitspower is on a spree to release Touchaqua Sedna liquid cooling kits specific to popular cases. Last week, the company rolled out a kit for the Antec Torque series, and now we see one for the Lian Li PC O11 Dynamic series cases. Much like the kit form last week, the BPTA-WDPO11DA-KIT by Bitspower includes a distro plate+reservoir+pump combo that's been designed specifically for the case in its model name (the O11 Dynamic series). You replace the tempered glass front panel that came with your O11 with this plate, either completely see-through, or with an included aluminium cover plate. Other inclusions include a 360 mm radiator (Touchaqua Tarasque II 360S), a trio of Njord 120 mm fans, a Lotan full-coverage VGA water block that's compatible with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 20-series graphics cards, a Touchaqua Summit CPU water block for Intel sockets, fittings, an RGB controller, tubing, and coolant. Available now, the Touchaqua Sedna Kit for Lian Li O11 Dynamic series is priced at USD $680.

That was my first thought when I saw the Price. I mean, those O11D are not cheap on their own (I have a black ed for my GF and the Razer ED for myself Standing here - so yes, I love them and I'm not "too Price sensitive" -lol-) but this is just …. a what the fuck Moment.

Really? For that Price you can easily build 2 cooling-loops (one for each System) and still upgrade something else on the side. E.g. Alphacool / etc. come in at around 200-250 for a complete set of everything you Need if you don't take the pre-build sets but the parts on their own - I got to 280 for a dual-X99-board Setup with two cpu-cooler included so I really don't know what warrants the 400$+ more - the distro-plate is nice (even though with the Razor frontplate I wouldn't want to use it on my System but on my GF's Maybe) but definitely not worth the Money they ask for ….

I damn near fainted wtaf , I was hooked, just on the distro plate but it's clearly not worth looking up individually.

This kind of product is so exorbitantly silly it should not even warrant a news piece. It's the gold encrusted smartphone case with emerald stones for PCs.

Don't buy the Dynamic case. The adhesive on the side panel (main panel) will come off if you use your machine often and it get too toasty. Mine came off after 1yr 3m. I didn't think it would happened to me, but it did. I don't think they change anything to address that major problem. It's a pain to clean and apply an adhesive that is more permanent.

Distro plates aren't cheap. I build 2 systems one for my wife and one for me in Lian Li cases. If you do you loops correctly and don't cut corners. I spent $400 on my distro plate and $250 on my wife's and the price of mine doesn't include the 2x Aquacomputer D5 Next pumps.

Sure you can do things cheaper but I'm all for making mine look nice. Lian Li shared them too on their social media fwiw

'Oh look at how much I'm willing to spend' isn't a valid point just demonstrates a lack of sense. $680 is excessive no matter how you try to spin it especially when other plates can be found sub-$200 and do the same exact thing, when it costs more than 3x than the case it is going into, when it costs more than parts that have a real purpose e.g. MB, CPU, RAM, GPU...

Nothing is excessive if you desire to have the best. I'm an engineer and when I build a PC it's down correctly without compromise. Material quality is key as well, you can buy cheaper ones but you risk problems. I have a $700 X570 motherboard (Aorus Xtreme) , does it make sense, nope but it doesn't need to.

I'm also an engineer(nuclear), I also have a $700 X570 Motherboard (CHVIIIF) and you know what? It has f'all to do with the topic at hand.

It doesn't serve a distinct purpose/function, isn't rated, contains high performance components, or guaranteed a certain amount of precision. There isn't a single spec for this plate that deems it the best at anything. Just because it has a high price tag doesn't mean it's the best, it's the other way around. You should understand this right, Mr. fellow engineer?

Cheaper materials are more prone to fail as I've experienced with certain brands. EK, for example doesn't always use the best quality arcylic because I've had some crack over time with no stress added from the fittings. Cast vs Extreuded and the thickness of each makes a difference. Price doesn't matter, it's the quality and process they're made which matters. I use Bitspower fittings, sometimes EK ones for that reason. Fittings last forever basically if treated right as will a water block when made correctly. EK blocks haven't been great in recent years so I've been switching to others such as Optimus who makes an excellent CPU block right now

Guys,

I know $680 seems excessive for just a distroplate. However the way the kit is described
its an complete loop, RAD / GPU/ CPU / Fans fitting , tubing etc.. at which point its a fairly decent deal.
