Bulid compatibility

So around christmas i started thinking about getting a new pc. I’m not really really experienced, i’d just say i know how to build a pc and not much more, it’ll be my 3rd bulid. Would be nice if someone really experienced like a lot of people i see on TPU would check the compatibility and say if it’s a good bulid. I spent a lot of time doing it myself and reading about all the new systems but just want to make sure.

The motherboard is a mini itx because i got a crazy deal on it, 70$. I already bought only motherboard and ram. I don’t want any cheaper recommendations if it’s unnecessary and this bulid is fine. The cooler will be Arctic LFIII 360 ARGB but for some reason pc part picker says it’s not compatible with H7 elite but i know it is because i texted some people with this combo and its all fine not even a tight fit

edit: Sorry if it’s a wrong forum but i couldn’t decide

The parts look decent, mate. I'm not familiar with that website and i dont have time to look it up but it looks like the motherboard will need updated bios to fully support raptor lake cpu as it is older Z chipset...if you already have one at home check if you can update bios without cpu..if not im afraid you will have to get one, cheap one, like i3 to do the update.

And dont buy anything from nxzt...after that predatory rent pc scheme nobody should support that brand.

Ill show my gut heart :)

If that shop do bios updates before sale ,go for it.

I know how to FlashBack bios with usb so i will update it myself, i know it needs the most recent version to work well with this cpu

i kinda love this case but also considering other options not from nzxt

Guess you missed the part about 14900k being a ticking bomb - if you must go lga1700, then get a 12900k instead, which won't commit suicide.

i thought that this cooler is capable of cooling it, isn’t arctic like top 3 performance wise aio now? also with latest microcode heat problems are fixed a bit no?

Yeah, i forgot about that microcode too... :)
It sounds you are experienced pc builder...yeah that might be a problem but im not sure. After that bios update i havent seen people complaining about degradation. Mayby some more experienced tpu users have their say later...

It was never about the heat but the amount of voltage that was being allowed to be pumped through the CPU that caused it to degrade. The microcode was more of a band aid. It slows down the rate of degredation but it it's still happening

It's not a heat issue. It's a voltage issue. They made a bandaid solution with the microcode, but it still gets stupid levels of voltage, and it will never be a cpu that lasts for many years.

That won't fix the issue. You would have to undervolt it considerably, thus also underclock it considerably.

won’t it be fine limited to 253W? i will limit it to less if needed but that will also change the performance right?

i’ll keep an eye on that but i haven’t seen much issues with this cpu after 6 months of its release. People with same cooler cpu combo say its not problematic anymore if limited a bit. Anyway you are definitely more experienced

CPUs have extended warranty so you should be fine with that.

I'd set a manual voltage, something like 1.2 V and do a static frequency tune, rather than allowing turbo boost to increase voltages on demand.

okay thanks, i thought 32gb will be enough for gaming but imma change, i suspected that 1200W is too much so not surprised with the change

32gb IS enough.

How much watt you will need depends on gpu choice aswell, which you haven't told us about.
