Maybe somebody will create a backside cooler & mobo that will be able to this ? Similar to what is happening with the wiring connector changes right now....No way to cooler the underside really, its totally going to overheat at higher speeds and voltages.

Shorter traces will help in higher memory frequencies. Latency is mainly determined by the timings of the memory itself. It will probably be a few years before CAMM2 takes off, if ever.
The bad part about CAMM2 is going to be the dual-rank stuff. No way to cool the underside really, its totally going to overheat at higher speeds and voltages.

so the original CAMM is better than CAMM2?Doesn't seem to have much value at all for desktop, anyway.
The LPDDR5x CAMM options are an interesting proposition for laptops.
