Can a 600W gold power supply support a 5700X3D and an RX 7700 XT?

Good evening, everyone.

I wanted to ask you a question. Currently, I have the following confg:

CPU: Ryzen 7 5700x3d
Motherboard: B550M PRO VDH WI-FI
RAM: 32GB 3200MHz
GPU: GTX 1660 OC
Storage: 1 x M.2 NVMe SSD 1TB + 1 x SATA SSD 1TB
AirCooler: DeepCool Ag400 ARGB 120MM
Fans: 7 ARGB 120MM fans
Monitor: LG 144hz 27' 1080p.
Power Supply: 600W Gold *As I live in Brazil, here we have several good quality national products with affordable prices, so the power supply was approved as if it were cybenetics, using the same methods. This power supply is more like platinum efficiency than gold*

I am interested in replacing my graphics card because my GTX 1660 is already showing signs of wear. Since I prioritize longevity, I want to avoid graphics cards with 8GB of VRAM, such as the 4060, 4060 ti, and RX 7600. Therefore, I am considering an RX 7700 XT or an RX 6750 XT due to the price (in Brazil) and the amount of video memory. These cards have an average power consumption of 200W to 260W, similar to the RTX 3070

I heard from some channels and people on Reddit that a 600W power supply would easily support these cards, however, it was never very clear, as some people talk about 750W to 850W, which doesn't make much sense to me, "techpowerup" mentioned in their reviews that a 550W power supply would be sufficient for an RX 7700 XT and a 600W one for the RX 6750 XT.

My current GTX 1660 OC consumes a maximum of 125W in games like Metro Exodus, where the game's power limit is quite high. I don't really believe that an increase of 125 ~ 135W will make much difference, but it's always good to have a second opinion. I did some simulations on the OuterVision® Power Supply Calculator site, but I'm not sure if they are reliable. These were the results:

Load Wattage: 460 W ~ 470 W
Recommended UPS rating: 1000 VA
Recommended PSU Wattage: 510 ~ 520 W

considering the 7700XT avg around 220w to 240w gaming, that would put you around 350w total system power on avg. You should be OK since you won't be pushing the PSU

600W Gold (a high-quality Brazilian power supply, approved in various tests. In the tests carried out, the power supply is more similar to the efficiency of a platinum than a gold power supply
Is there another review of the unit? One that actually you can see the inside of it?

Yeah, you'll be okay. I'm running 12600K and a 4080 off a 560W PSU, lol. You might hear the fan spin up louder, but unless the PSU is crap, it won't fail you.

I mean I'm not the biggest High Power fan but they did a really good job on that Ion+ platinum. Jiu Meng is better known for lower stuff that doesn't really go out for independent reviews.

You can see the power supply inside at 54:40 min of the same video

It's worth mentioning that I ended up putting the wrong photo of the power supply. On the 12v line it delivers 600W. I ended up taking the wrong photo and putting the right one, mine would be a newer revision of the same psu.

A neverheard brand though. Yet those components aren't very power hungry so it would most likely be fine.

My 650-watt CX650M handled a supercharged RX 6700 XT with absolute ease. You'll be fine, unless your PSU is much worse than you're describing. 7700 XT eats a little less when it spikes. Why doncha consider an RTX 4070? If that's no more than 300 BRL more pricey it's a no-brainer here.

Yes, I am also considering the RTX 4070, however, the difference is almost BRL 800 or 150 USD. BRL 2.700 = 500 USD - RX 7700 XT. RTX 4070 - BRL 3.550 = 650 USD

Yeah, you can notice 800 reais. I'd go for it anyway, DLSS is quite better than FSR, at Balanced you'll be often faster than 7800 XT at Quality, also preserving a wee more image quality. 7700 XT will be far behind at this point.

Thanks, watched it briefly on my phone as he rotated around the filtering stage. Did catch the Nichi 105c main cap and the dual ball bearing that looked like the GDSTIME logo.

For 30% more, the 4070 is worth it in some circumstances for 13% more raster performance plus DLSS. RT is a mixed bag but some find it a worthwhile addition. That said, the 4070 is over 40% more expensive than the 7700XT in the US so at least the Nvidia price penalty is lower where you live.

I'd be looking at the current draw in Amps on the 12V rail more than how many Watts it uses.
It should be fine.

I personally wouldn't touch that power supply (I just don't trust Chinese off-brand products for things like this, even if Ronaldo says it's great, be aware that he has business ties to Gamemax and Galax, so it's in his best interest to paint his employer's products in the best light), not when you can purchase a Super Flower 750W supply for 400 Janjas at Terabyte

Also if you're considering the 4070 be aware that there is a 4070 SUPER for 3799 at Kabum right now, it's a better deal than both of those. Patoloco (smaller shop but they're alright) has a Galax 4070 SUPER for 3790 too. Way better than buying the 7700 XT.

better get SeaSonic, BeQuiet or SuperFlower as recommended above. This 600W is OK if you won't OC your stuff. Also, consider a fans, pump if you have one, etc. I'd go for 750W or at least 650W gold minimum. Platinum is ok but not needed in consumer grade anyway you don't run 24/7 don/t you?

Dude you maybe float 330W with that 1660 and ~450W max with the 7700XT. I'd say this is fine.
Unless you're planning on dual GPU or using something else that eats power, or have some stability hangup, this is good.
