Can a FLAT cable attached between two USB ports (USB type C to USB-A) bring the power from the powerbank to the display ?

Hello.

I'm trying to power on my 8 inches display (this model :


)

attaching a flat cable from the usb type C port of the display to the output port n. 2 of the powerbank (model TNTOR 5v) (still usb type c) but I see that the display is not able to turn on :

Instead,if I use the same ports,but instead of a flat cable,I use a cable like this one :

the display is able to turn on. can someone explain to me what's wrong ? is the flat cable the wrong item ? or the USB adapters that I'm using ? I'm talking about the usb type C male attached to the display and the USB A male to the powerbank, as I said both tailored to accept a FLAT cable instead of a plastic one.
