I am wondering what my options are. On a asrock taichi z890 mobo and I currently have DDR5 g. Skill 2x32gb flare X 5 6000MHz. RAM was released in 2023 and only listed expo at the time on packaging, dunno if that matters. I saw same brand and line of memory in store with packaging mentioning support for intel XMP though so I thought maybe my older one is still good. But with latest BIOS update I can see it had nothing to do with that. So is XMP profile just a auto config of preset values for the RAM that I could just replicate if I get values from ones that support it and manually change or is my understanding of overclocking and using these profiles way off? Currently it runs at 5200MHz on default according to BIOS.

I am asking for what my options are in this situation and any clarifications if I need any

Only if the memory kit has both profiles. Check CPUz to see if it does. Flare memory is marketed for AMD users and will not have a XMP profile.

Either way it does not matter which you use really.
