can my system run 8800GT???

Hello,i'm new to the forum and i'm okay with desktops i surpose but i was wondering if my system specs would work on the Asus 8800GT or others,specially my psu.
I've read the minimum psu requirement is 400w for just single card usage but i want check if my psu got another amps to run the card and play games without any problems.
heres my spec:

I would say not to chance it and get at least a 500watt or above decent brand name PSU.......you don't wanna take chances with your PSU.......it just about plugs Into everything.....so why run the risk.

You might want to consider overclocking your CPU a bit more, as it might bottleneck an 8800 GT.
Other than that, a new PSU would definately help, considering my PSU isn't all that good and it barely runs a 9600 GT.

I'd say either the Antec or the OCZ would do the job....both have 36 combined amps on the +12 line so your covered there......of the 2 I'd get the OCZ because of the 3yr warranty compared to the Antec's 2yr warranty.

That way you won't have to upgrade your power supply again if you go further beyond the 8800GT (GTX260/HD4870 or greater in single card).

Also, The Antec Neopower modular is a good deal too. But you would have to upgrade power supply again for the reasons pointed out in my post.

It would be strain on the PSU but it will run I had 9800GT with 14Amp

Hm i see thanks for the info i'll buy the OCZ psu when i get money. @Error 404 i am considering overclocking my cpu when i buy the new psu =) but i dunno how to do it xD i have tried before but it kinda screwed up and nothing displayed,maybe because i did something wrong

Should get a more reliable PSU, but 400W should be enough overall.

Nope ya 12v Rail Amps isnt enough, you must have at least 26Amp 12v rail for it to run with out blowing the PSU up, and at least a 450W PSU. Trust me i found this out the hard way with a m8s comp.

+1 i agree the Antec and OCZ would be best i had a cheap(er) 500w PSU running a 8800GT and an X2 5kBE@3ghz and it shit its self in a month. i wouldn't use any cheap PSU
