Hi there,
A few days ago I broke my Gtx 1060 3g and one Capacitor broke off when i was installing it and now i wonder what Capacitor it is so I can repair it. Its the marked one in the Picture.
Thanks in advance
Should be same cap as the one thats nearby. To know the exact value in pF you could use a multimeter. Also i would be worried a lot more about the orange area, as there is some serious corrosion going on
I highly suggest sorting it out before powering on the card. I had a bad experience with an R9 270X that was heavily water damaged, and i cleaned it the lazy way without changing smd components, as a result the display went black after 1-2 minutes and the card had to be scrapped (minor smd component caused short which ruined the main gpu chip).
Thanks for your Answer!
The Graphic card in the Picture is not the Graphic card that I destroyed, I used it just for better Identifikation. I already soldered off the capacitor you are meaning, since i had the same Idea, and measured it. The multimeter said 23 pF and I also figured out that the sice of the missing capacitor is propably 0603 (imperial-smd-code). I then downloaded the schematic of the card to see if there are different values to this form factor and there are (4.7uf, 22uf...). Thats why I am not sure which capacitor to install and asked for help.
