Hi,
I want to flash the Asus 4090 Strix OC vBIOS to my Asus 4090 TUF OC

Can someone please update the newest version for me?
I know the database has this one https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/251228/asus-rtx4090-24576-221013

But I know around Feb or March 2023 all Asus 4090s have got a new vBIOS versions.

Last thing: can the current official nvflash bypass the subID mismatch? or need the modded version?

Thanks

The newer bios version MIGHT be for the newer ad102-301 version (you will get a mismatch on ad102-300). They have a lower max voltage (1,07v vs 1,1v) ,seem to perform slightly worse and were released around that time in 2023 (FE at least). Unfortunately there isn't much documentation about them so be careful... newer better.

My 4090 TUF OC is also a newer model, bought January 2024. So a recent Strix OC is more suitable to my 4090 TUF OC. Not planning on anything crazy, definitely not touching voltages, just out the box clock table and power target of a Strix OC 4090
Are the vBIOS files "unverified" safe to download and use from TPU database?

I have used unverified bioses in the past in cards with problems, never as a casual update. They were usually for the card I had, not a cross-flash and they worked perfectly fine. (i only flashed "mismatched" bioses on bricked or mining cards if possible and the unverified bioses worked if the card was in working order)

They seem safe enough but you need to check the claimed specs of the bios and compare them with the "official" (device id,subsystem id,power limits, version etc)

The official is here:

But for the 4090 strix for example take a look at this:

I don't know what's going on with the vram size but I wouldn't use these.
So, is it a bug? typo? software id error? engineering sample bios? who knows...

I also want to hear about this from other users as well because tpu has a lot of unverified files.

Finally you can ask here about a specific bios that you found and you want to flash, someone might know if it's a good update.

Hello,
A follow up on this, I used Kefi nvflash, backed up my factory VBIOS (I now have 6 backups of factory rom) and flashing this unverified VBIOS (from a Strix OC)
Works absolutely normal.
I gained a stock 500watt power limit and about 4 bins of stock clocks, normal gaming from 2730mhz to 2805mhz to 2790mhz on core while gaming.
I was only looking for Asus VBIOS because mine is Asus TUF OC and Asus 4090s have 2 HDMI 2.1a ports vs only one in the other brands.
I can state the one in the link is working good. Thanks for the uploader.
