Capcom has kindly provided a new benchmarking tool for folks who are wondering whether their souped-up PC gaming rigs can run the upcoming seventh (not sixth, despite the title) main entry in the Street Fighter series with aplomb - the testing suite can be downloaded from here. The development team's introductory message states: "The Street Fighter 6 Benchmark Tool monitors gameplay on the Street Fighter 6 demo and calculates a score that indicates your PC's performance. The results of the benchmarking will be shown as follows, with a score of 91 or above demonstrating that your PC can play the game with ease."

The explanation continues: "If your PC does not meet the system requirements needed to run this benchmarking software, it may not launch properly. If that happens, please reconfirm that you satisfy the criteria listed on this page under System Requirements." Street Fighter 6 is arriving this Friday (June 2), so Capcom's benchmarking tool only gives a little bit of advanced notice - an unfortunate few who "cannot operate the game" (with a 0-30 score) will need to make necessary PC upgrades in time for launch day action. Or they could simply buy the bare minimum point of entry on console: a PlayStation 4 Slim or the cheapest current generation system - Xbox Series S.

Using the Benchmark Tool
Capcom said:
We have confirmed that the benchmark software may not work properly when launched from a shortcut. If it does not work, please try to run the following executable file.

Executable file location:
"StreetFighter6.exe" in C:\Program Files (x86)\CAPCOM}StreetFighter6 Benchmark

We are currently investigating the cause of the problem. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

1. Click the "Download Benchmark Tool" button to start downloading the file.
2. Extract the downloaded file to the location of your choice.
3. Open "setup.exe" located among the extracted files.
4. Once installation is complete, launch the "StreetFighter 6 Benchmark" app on the desktop.
5. Select "START" on the title screen to start measuring performance.

Or "Super Nintendo" ( France's name).

Lock a 30Gb benchmark tool that builds a hole in your SSD, thanks CapChrome.

To be honest, is kinda dumb download this benchmark.

Just install Afterburner, CapFrameX, PresentMon or else and run, after all fighting games are fixed are capped out to 60FPS.

I've downloaded it. The game is limited to 60 fps during matches and 120 fps in the world tour, however. The RTX 3090 was easily able to meet that frame rate limit at 1440p at the highest preset settings effortlessly. Says Custom, but that's because "Highest" forces 1920x1080 resolution instead:

It's not even the demo, it's just fixed benchmark scene. The demo is separate, and the same size. Japanese game devs doing Japanese game dev things

Been playing SF since SF2 on snes, loved it till SF4 but didn't catch on V, and this 6 demo doesn't seem very appealing either.

My fav SF was Alpha2Gold on the Saturn. It was better than the arcade, especially with the arcade stick!

I suppose it appeals to a newer generation of gamers than ours. The original Street Fighter IV (not the super or ultra versions) was the most charming of the games imo. Perfect blend of graphics, sound and classic gameplay.

I definitely don't like their aesthetic direction and the bright paint effects on special hits, also the fact that they seemingly interpreted the "street" part of the title as american street gangs...
Tekken 8 looks way more interesting.

I think V is more a new game, IV was like the 2D purely rendered to 3D.
