clearing chrome cache.. bad idea... recover discord account??

so i cleared out the chrome cache cus i had a issue with slow typing on facebook..
and in return i lost my discord account....
so now im tryng to figure how i can get that one account back...
but seems none of my emails are tied to the account i used...
any tips????

I don't know of any way that you could easily. If you didn't have an email linked with it that you can access it was a matter of time before you lost it. Best tip is to keep your secondary email names somewhere that won't get lost even if your pc explodes. Easier to guess a password you use for all your throwaways in the past than it is to guess a username you used once. (Don't keep the passwords with the names ofc)

If it makes you feel any better you were doomed from the start. The next time the tokens expired on there server, they did a major client update, or in anyway changed the security system the keys would be rotated and you would have gotten a login prompt.

No, apparently you can just use discord with a simple username ~

Clearing cache won't cause that. Sounds like you accidentally deleted cookies.

IIRC, you can uncheck the option to delete cookies and delete only the cache. I know that Firefox, which is ->not<- Chromium, will have cookies checked in the clear-data options by default. You must uncheck the option to clear the cookies! Then you can choose to clear only the cache.

managed to get it back. loaded a older copy of my OS backup from august managed to get into chrome and load up discord and check the email adress that is assigned to it. and managed to do a password recovery trough that..
some times i forget what emails i sign stuff up with...

That's beyond irresponsible... get a safe password manager ASAP (Bitwarden, free and secure), enable 2FA on all your accounts (use Authy) and update all of your software
