Please help me decide whether it is relevant to buy the i7 12700k processor in 2024 to work in Adobe Premiere? I am afraid to buy 13600k and 14600k processors because of possible problems with the chip. Or is it better to buy a Ryzen 7 7700 on the AM5 socket for the same money?

Intel released microcode updates on those cpu's months back. What country are you located and what is your budget for board, cpu and RAM?

Right now I think it's a shame not to choose 14600k (from the mentioned CPUs), it almost matches 9700x. In theory i5's were unaffected from degradation problems anyway, but even if they were affected the latest BIOS(es) should solve such issues, plus you get a 5 year warranty.
A reason to choose 7700 would be a possible future upgrade to a x3d chip, if it matters to you.

Similar performance, similar price (7700 a bit cheaper, at least in Europe). Better upgrade path for the Ryzen. Dead end platform for the Intel.

Nah, the difference is small and is totally compensated by the (reversed) idle and low-load efficiency. The latest TPU reviews also include idle consumption.
But the upgrade possibility remains a serious argument in favour of 7700, for anyone interested in a x3d chip.

To work with Adobe, what matters is the new generation and the number of cores. The clock speed is not that important.

So I would choose an i9 13900 without K or i9 14900 without K or i9 285 without K

or AMD 7950 or 9950
