CORSAIR, a world leader in enthusiast memory, high-performance gaming hardware, and PC components today announced the release of the new Carbide Series SPEC-04 Tempered Glass case. Adding the style and sophistication of a huge tempered glass side panel window to the bold asymmetrical design and modern features of the SPEC-04, the SPEC-04 Tempered Glass offers everything enthusiasts need to build a great gaming PC. The huge tempered glass side panel grants a totally unobstructed view into the case, providing the perfect platform to show off your PC, while CORSAIR Direct Airflow Path design ensures your PC's hottest components get the airflow they need to stay cool.

Boasting iconic CORSAIR styling and a huge tempered glass side panel, the SPEC-04 Tempered Glass backs up its looks with a wealth of modern case features to help make your next PC build look great and come together easily. Up to five 120mm fan mounts and an included 120mm red-LED lit fan provide plenty of cooling options, including the option to install an up to 240mm liquid CPU cooler. A clean side-mounted I/O panel keeps your PC's front panel at-the-ready, but out of the way, and includes a high-speed USB 3.0 port for rapid data transfers.

SPEC-04 Tempered Glass boasts a wealth of cable tie-downs, cable routing cut-outs, and room behind the motherboard, making it easy to tidy cables and build a great looking, uncluttered system. A clean build doesn't mean compromising on hardware either, with three 3.5in HDD trays, two 2.5in SSD trays and seven expansion slots able to house multi-drive, multi-GPU builds with ease. The SPEC-04 Tempered Glass makes keeping your system pristine simple too, with removable PSU and front-fascia dust filters. Delivering the best enthusiast case essentials with a touch of glass, the SPEC-04 Tempered Glass is clear, bold and ready to build.

Availability:
The CORSAIR Carbide Series SPEC-04 Tempered Glass Case is available immediately from the CORSAIR network of authorized retailers and distributors.

Corsair's going on a temper tantrum with all these tempered glass cases...

Now if only they could make a tempered glass panel for existing 7x0T case owners.

Not bad for $60, only $10 more than the plastic window version. Same 150mm CPU cooler clearance, even without the bulging side panel. Almost make it look classy, despite the "boy gamer" front panel.

Quite a lot of show cases lately in all price-ranges. They are nice, but not for me. I still need quick access and 5.25 inch drives in the front. No doors, no cases without direct access to 5.25.

2017 will be remembered as the year of taking horribly built cheapo cases like the SPEC 04 and putting god damn tempered glass on them.

Do yourselves a god damn favor, void this and get the S340 instead. Skip the glass for a better case

For me, the glass makes it a better case.

You really cant tell people to do themselves a favor when you dont know what their tastes in stuff are. Just because you dont like it, doesnt mean everyone else shares that opinion.

Good point. At that price, the steel pretty thin. Also, I wonder when the S340 will get the tempered glass or RGB fan upgrade? lol
I wish they had a TG upgrade kit for my 750D, tempered glass looks much better than any plastic window (which is impossible to clean without micro-scratching that shows). I'd pay at least $10 for it, maybe $15, like I did for the "Airflow" front panel upgrade.

Out of all the gaudy cases I see, I kind of like these. But I prefer their plainer stuff.

Having better airflow, temperature, expansion and build quality is not an opinion. Sure, if u dig a decorated disaster, more power to you. Just know where all the manufacturing budget goes.

My comment was more based on just glass in general. Not for this particular case. But if youre looking for future expansion, then of course this case may not be for you. I have the 570x Crystal Series and airflow is good, temps are real good. And I dont need much expansion. I have an m.2 SSD a SSD and a hard drive that I will be working on transitioning to SSD. I have two spots for ssd's on the rear of the case with two spots in the rear for two hdd's. Ill never need more than 2 ssd outside the nvme.

Which all kinda goes back to my original comment.
