Hi
Currently planning a SFF PC for prductivity (Photoshop, Handbrake transcoding) and 4K gaming.
Current build plan
NCASE T1
ASUS ROG Strix B650E-I
Phanteks Glacier 1 240mm
Corsair 32Gb 6000MHz CL30
Samsung 990 EVO 1TB NVMe
GeoForce 4080 Super or 4090
PSU - undecided, something with 12vHPWR 12+4 connectivity
I'm struggling with CPU choice. It's going to be AMD but everything I read talks about 'Best CPU for Gaming' or 'Best CPU for Productivity' but never much discussion/comparison of both.
I'm into visually immersive high quality 4k games.
I can see that an Ryzen 7 9800X3D is currently king of the hill for gaming but can I get a CPU that offers this level of gaming performance AND speed for productivity? Cost is secondary to performance.
Would a AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D give me what I'm lookiing for i.e more cores and some X3D cache benefits?
Any advice is really appreciated.
