So I had to move overseas for a while so I broke my PC into component parts, shoved them in my suitcase, and brought them on the plane with me.
When I went to reassemble at destination, everything starts fine, but now the CPU is idling at 95 degrees and the fans sound like a jet engine.
I have an i9 9900k and a NZXT Kraken X52 cooler. The pump is definitely running - I can hear it, and the liquid temps are increasing when I monitor, but the CPU temp just isn't dropping.
tried replacing the thermal compound but that didn't do anything.
Is it possible that something went wrong inside the cooler during the move? Considering just replacing with some reasonably priced air cooler since I need my PC working for work.
Thanks a lot for any help.
