I've got an XPS m1330, the smaller brother of this (it's also older, as twas released earlier this year I believe), and it's a great laptop, from what I've read, and heard about these new XPS systems, they're possibly the first great Dells, along with some of the new Inspiron range.
They look really good too, just wish they had launched this m1530 earlier, because £699 is £200 more than what I paid for mine, but it's also the same price as the m1330, with 8400m GS, and a 1.8GHz CPU, Bluetooth, and fingerprint reader, and Wireless-N, making it very good value, for a sort of medium-end gaming laptop (the 8600m GT isn't spectacular, but better than the 8400m GS, it most certainly is)

Still, I commend Dell on the new designs, and hope the m1530 is better put together than the early m1330s were (they had a lot of orders, and so they wanted to cut down waiting time, I just bought from a reseller, heh)

Hmmm the inspiron 15" can have the same hardware...but doesn't look as nice and doesn't have as many ports...wonder which one people would go for.

One thing I must have skipped at first when reading this, but it's available with a Blu-ray drive as an option, something the m1330 didn't have, even though it came with a HDMI connector as standard.

Yeah, well, the m1330 didn't have any problems with being genuine. Dell, Asus, and other high-value resellers like those, get special deals with MS, so that they personally activate people's systems, without the need to call MS, or do it via the internet.
It's how some of the better cracks work for Vista. Activates it as though the computer were an OEM made system.

No option for higher resolution screen. I would get one but only if the screen is 1680x1050.
