I haven't used DLSS much in any game yet really. But I thought this was what existed today:
But I've seen many Google hits that mentions "DLSS Ultra Quality". So...is that a thing? If so, what render scale does it do, and what render resolution?
When I asked ChatGPT about it, this is the answer I got:
"NVIDIA's Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technology has undergone several iterations, introducing various quality modes over time. As of January 2025, the officially supported DLSS modes include Ultra Performance, Performance, Balanced, and Quality. While there have been mentions of an "Ultra Quality" mode in certain game settings and Unreal Engine 5 documentation around mid-2021, NVIDIA has not officially released or supported a DLSS Ultra Quality mode. For instance, in July 2021, the game "Escape from Naraka" included a DLSS Ultra Quality Mode, which was later removed following NVIDIA's clarification that such a mode does not exist. Therefore, as of now, DLSS Ultra Quality has not been officially introduced."
