DVXA2 not detecting on AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT

After I have installed Windows 11 Pro 64bit on my new setup:
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D
Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero
Gigabyte M30 1TB NVME SSD
Windows 11 Pro 64bit version 22H2

I can see that LAV video filter is not activating DXVA2 it's inactive with my RX 6800 XT and I am using KCP as my codec pack with MPC-BE which has worked well for me:

I know I am using a older version of LAV Video Decoder but it worked on my previous Windows 11 Pro with the same RX 6800 XT and driver 22.10.1.

I am currently using KCP Black 1.0.7 and the newest is version 1.0.8 but I cannot find the installer I think I have deleted it and I cannot find it online.

So if anyone got an idea on what's wrong since DXVA2 is not being detected and have KCP 1.0.8 I would be greatful to test and see if this sort med issue.

I use the same....only difference is i have installed KLite Mega Codec Pack instead.....
and i use MadVR as the renderer.....
and D3D11 as hardware decoder...

These are my current setting on my old secondary system with an Rx 570....

And i have added the following External filters using the add filter button...
and set the priorty as 'Prefer' instead of 'set merit'....

stop using codec packs, install mpc-hc or potplayer & madvr if you have gpu power to burn thats it you don't need todo anything else

Not true, not all codec packs are bad only when people don't know what to use them for.

There are specific use cases mine are for anime that requires some settings otherwise they come out horrible and doll and for every one using VLC it's not the answer...

I guess I manually needs to update LAV even I don't want to because it worked before with everything

It took me awhile to get mine setup but I get to watch blurays at 4K 60Hz light sharpening a bit of color correction, or 1080P 60Hz with good looking sharpening for DVDs or most streamed media.


Codecs are bad when you have conflicts and no way to monitor them.

It can be a danger zone not saying they ain't.

I used CCCP-Project in the past then I read some of my favorite fansub groups recommened the KCP pack so I used them but I forgot to save the installer when I formatted this time because they always been avaliable.

Never been a fan of K-Lite in the pass a lot of my friends had issues with it and I uninstalled it and installed CCCP and everything worked better.

I actually fixed the error I had before just ages ago so I don't remember my bad memory.

I used to have multiple codecs packs in the past, then switched mainly to VLC/MPC BE & stopped using them. Recently have installed KLCP but that's only because I wanted to try it again after about half a decade or so, they're definitely expendable as many standalone media players work just fine without them & yes I've tried every kind of movie title out there.

Hmm looks to be a MPC-BE issue because if I update to the newest version 1.6.4 all my files play fine but with the default 1.4.5 the application crashes, I believe last time I had the issue it might had been because I changed the decoder to Nvidia CUVID and changed it to DVXA2 and it worked but I properly also updated the mpc-be version to a newer version.

My issue with the newest version 1.6.4 is that the setting "Touch Windows Inside" doesn't really work it runs mpc-be at the default resolution player resolution and not the file resolution, but downgrading to version 1.5.0 to 1.5.3 they fixes this issue really weird.

So I am scratching my head here because honest I properly used a version after 1.4.5 and before they introduced Shader11 in 1.5.4 because any version after version 1.5.3 the real resolution of the video file is not display only the original size of mpc-be with the default picture in.
