Edge deleted all my pinned pages!? Why?

Not enough information. All I can say is that I have never seen or heard of this happening. And searching for "Edge deleted pinned pages" sends me to this thread. In other words, it is not a widespread issue.

I will say, it would probably be better to use Favorites instead of pinned. If you run CCleaner of Disk Cleanup, or some other "clutter" cleaner, your Favorites will not be deleted but pinned sites will.

If me, I would keep Edge.

Are you sure your page settings didn't change?

Unfortunately, on any regular channel Windows editions, updates are liable to change a lot of settings without notice. There is a setting under edge flags to ostensibly disable this, but it hasn't been that consistent in my experience. Might also be some way to prevent it through group policy.
