hello everyone.
Since i am now very dedicated to crunching/folding 24/7 with many machines and equipment, I have a question regarding Fire Safety, and Electrical Safety of my farm, as it is on 24/7 and may not always be supervised. So obviously this is extremely important for me.
Question 1; Power distribution set up safety/good practices, is this acceptable?
In order to explain my current Farm / gaming set up, i have drawn (albeit poorly xD) a diagram of how i have all the electrical set up. I have everything connected to 1 Wattage meter as I only have one and i want to measure the entire farm. Here is the picture:
Is this safe for 24/7 use with no considerable risk to fire safety? Thanks.
Question 2; using multiple Molex -> 3-pin Fan adapter connectors
I am using multiple molex -> 3 pin fan adapters in my Folding rig with 1200 and 1660. As the motherboard doesnt have enough fan connectors and i have run out of splitters. is this safe for 24/7 operation with minimal risk to creating a fire hazard or electrical hazard (ie. blown psu) ?
I heard that some of these connectors can catch fire / burn out but I have conflicting information. I think 2 of the connectors run off 1 molex here and 1 off its own molex. power use of the fans is very low (they are quiet/low power).
I'm just anxious that i'm putting our house and our lives at risk by doing this. Any tips / advice to creating a safer set up would be much appreciated.
thanks
