What version are you using? Are the gpu drivers installed?
Thats good in all but 90-97% use Windows still

He's using a bootable USB freedos, just as easy could be using live linux distro, some AMD cards are locked though have managed to do it in the linux version in minutes

Try amdvbflash -p 0 ***.rom
have you tried the unlock rom command also?
Could also try older Linux versions as it is an old card, but I used the amdvbflash -p 0 *.rom command in Linux for the same error and it flashed without an issue

Looks like a bad ROM chip! Because even with just the "-i" parameter, it reports a failure.

No, it's because it is locked, he should use the unlockrom cmd and try the Linux amdvbflash cmd I posted above

Ok, I'm curious now as to the history of this card, did you buy it in this condition? I think either option could work, programmer maybe the easiest

i tryd a other system and found a little piece of wire on pin 8 mb =D
the flash with linux workd fine but i flashd a bios wich just work with blackscreen...
i fix this fast and let u hopefully know that im alive
