There are PLENTY of fake cards on ebay, TIP avoid 128 bit ram ALL the fakes have 128 bit ram interface. Avoid the 3x video ports ESPECIALLY if one is VGA, look for 4x video ports which has been the standard for many years now (ever since GTX 700 series).

Heatsink not always a giveaway but if the unit is a blob rather than blow through fins it's probably fake (not all aluminum blobs are fake, the old style branching fins like you used to see on cpu's is common on legit cards, if the rear of the fins is blocked ie a solid blob it's probably fake).

They sell like hotcakes because uneducated people see a deal where the rest of us know better. Someone likely ordered a box of them from china.

If you have to ask if it's fake.. it's probably fake

If it's extremely cheap on a reseller website.. it's probably fake

Now all that being said, it is on ebay and you should in theory not have much issue getting refunded if it is fake. But I'd go into this purchase fully expecting to be disappointed.

I for one like the random product photo with a serious gamer face

This should be motivation to not buy it

I was just jesting... but I wonder if the US based seller is aware of what they are selling.

Yeah, VGA connector is an instant giveaway of fake cards. 10 series doesn't even support VGA natively (900 series were the last from Nvidia to support it).

in theory the manufacturers can still include a dedicated ramdac so that the modern cards would still be compatible with vga. But ofc that would be at extra cost, and $65 for a 1050ti alone is already too good to be true lol. Expect a gtx 650 at best, but most probably its a gts 450.

Ive yet to see a 650, all seem to be 450gts or 550 variant
