From the first machine I had, some ancient IBM machine with no HDD and 2 5.25" floppys, to my modern systems. It's all been fine, but I guess it would hit me eventually.
Games PC has been in standby for about a week. Woke it up and after a while it blue screened. Built in mem test showed errors so used memtest86 for more detail, and... Well one of the sticks is screwed. Tried different slots on board and used isopropanol to clean contacts. Eventually tested sticks individually, and it's this little git-
I can't even remember where I got it from. Checked a few sites order history and can't find anything. Searched emails for order. Guess my only hope is try to RMA with Kingston. Just hope they don't ask for proof of purchase as I really can't remember.
