Fishtank and PC? Metalfish got you covered.

I do like it! :D

The dimensions of the complete tower are 370 x 250 x 290mm (about 27 liters), about half of the case is the fish tank, that would give your fish about 13 liters to swim around in.

It currently only sells in China for about $75.

nice, i could say theres something fishy about my PC and be right for a change :) .

Wow, I hope people only put fish suited to warmer waters in these.

It's a recipe for disaster, any overflow at all and your PC is drenched.

just a unrell thought i remember how leaky caps use to stink of fish but the newer ones smell of something else i just carnt place it.

^^^This^^^ is why not.

Domesticated, tropical fish (that is, fish that have for generations, been born, raised and bred in captivity) are not used to very warm waters and perhaps more importantly, they are used to fairly consistent temperatures. The common consensus among "aquarists" is aquarium temps should be maintained around 75-80°F (23-27°C) - that is just above normal "room temperature" most humans prefer. Changes in temps should be gradual to allow the cold-blooded animals to adjust to the changes without stress.

Clearly, that case is designed to allow heat from the computer to rise up. Since a CPU or GPU can go from cold to very warm in a few clock cycles, and thus a computer can go from cold to very warm in just a few minutes, this - at least in my totally non-expert opinion - could cause changes in water temperature to be less than "gradual".

"IF" the top of that case was solid, and not full of ventilation holes, and "IF" that case had side mounted fans to quickly exhaust any heat out the side or back, then I might have a different opinion about it being anything other than a misguided (perhaps even cruel) "marketing gimmick". :(

Edit comment: fixed a couple typos.

Idea is as bad as the name, fried PC anyone ?,

Hi,
If oc'ing I believe catfish don't mind warm water

You could place some wood or other less conducting material between the case and tank to keep the water temperature from possibly rising.

You'd have a few problems with that
1. Fish need to be kept at a very stable temperature at 70-80F depending on the fish
2. 13 Liters (just under 3.5 gallons) is way too small to keep fish in you want at least 19 liters (5 gallons) to keep some small fish like a Betta fish or some small tetras
3. Fish tanks are messy with water and I wouldn't trust my few hundred dollar PC anywhere close to splash distance of an aquarium

I will say keeping an aquarium in the computer room is great though, always relaxing to watch them swim around and it's great to have something to look at to take the mind off when you have some teammates that don't know how to play whatever game your trying to play.

I guess if you're an especially 'dark' person, a case that allows you to sacrifice animals every time you game, might suit you.
That's gonna be a lot of trips to Walmart/PetSmart...

Honestly, first thing I thought of that's *useful* about this case would be building a lower-power 'input' recording/streaming machine in the bottom, and a mineral oil submerged rig in the aquarium, for the actual gaming.

You'd need to seal off the top compartment well though, as mineral oil tends to creep along all surfaces it comes into contact with.

In my humble opinion this is probably the worst combo of any pc in the world. It is common sense that water and electricity don't mix and any heat the pc would produce would probably kill the fish. why oh why would anyone do this???

Yea, concur that's stupidest fkn idea ever. Leaks happen and damn, it'd be such a better leak to have smelly fish crap all over my comp as it goes pooof!

Oh stop it! Its Chinese ingenuity at its best! And its only 75 bucks! Plop a hand full of gold fish in there and in a couple of months you have big ugly carp! Hahaha

OK, if fish don't work, maybe change it to reptiles or hamsters?

Yes, great idea! Ooh or a tarantula. My friend had a giant, hairy, evil looking thing that he kept in a heated aquarium. It was harmless but it was creepy as hell.

I'm certain he scared off most of the girls he was lucky enough to bring home with that thing.

That thang is nothing but a fish killer im sure if anybody finds out the peta will be all over you.
