Hello TechPowerUp users! Today I wanted to fix my rx 570 I bought from a guy that used it for mining and used a custom bios and decided to flash stock bios from tech power up but before I flashed it i looked up every single detail of the card and the bios I wanted to flash . It was the exact same thing Samsung and micron memory (rx 570 nitro + 8gb) after flashing I see that the display is black and the card is spinning so I thought ,ok let me change the bios switch and that didn’t work either. Tried multiple tips and tricks and I put my IGPU first In bios then the pc still wouldn’t boot then I disconnected the 8 pin power connector from the gpu and it would boot without recognizing the gpu, then I found out about the 1+8 pins trick and then used that and it boots with the 8pin power connector now with the vga port connected to the IGPU . It now device manager sees the card as an rx 570 but whenever I try to do amdvbflash -i it sais fail I even managed to install the driver without problems .if I try to flash it via amdvbflash -f -p 0 olxbios.rom (that’s my backup bios’s name) I would get an error “Failed to read ROM error:0FL01” how do I fix this ? Thanks in advance.

Need the sku sticker picture from the card back or on side of card heatsink near pcie edge contact and a physical verification of the ram on the card, pull it apart and take pic of a ram chip.

That is the only way to unbrick the card

Do i need to reapply the paste after ?

Yes you do, clean gpu die and heatsink, fresh paste on the gpu die, the ram chips have pads, just be gentle removing a pad from a ram chip, they surround the gpu die.

Before I bricked my card gpu z showed Samsung and micron memory

As long as the bios has Samsung in it it will work. Sapphire have certain files that contain multiple memory tables due to SKUs using different ram internally.

Your card is all samsung.

Follow my directions, do not flash using the command prompt.

You dont need the pins to flash

Download the tool, right click on it and open as administrator, find the gpu file tlyou just downloaded and flash the card.

Here is 1 file needed, if gpu-z reports a 0 under gpu/ram clock speed but not in the default clocks then we need another file.
