Hi

I noticed flicker problem in browsers like Chrome and Firefox also in Windows 11 desktop after I press on F5. Windows 11 updated to latest version and I have GPU 6800 XT and monitor is KoorUI 27" GN10. Would that be a problem from Windows 11 or the monitor itself ?

Define “flicker”. It might just be poor interaction between monitors VRR implementation and MPO. Shouldn’t be happening, but is a possibility. You can try turning it off (here’s a handy guide, works for any GPU). See if it helps.

I did not record the flickering. When I turn off or on adaptive sync the flicker stop but it return again after few days. Flicker I see is similar to this:

About the registry solution of MPO will it work with AMD I see from the link it is for nvidia ?

I can disable VRR from windows but "optimization windowed games" can not be changed it is currently ON

F5 is your refresh screen key, thats why you would see a flicker

Did you try using a quality new cable? Assuming the ports on the graphic card and monitor are mechanically and electrically working specification.

Which cables are you using? Which settings
I use the DP cable that come with the monitor. For monitor settings:

Adaptive sync : off
dark field: 0
response time: fast
brightness: 70
contrast: 40
DCR: off
HDR: Auto but off from windows (SDR mode)
sharpness: 5
gamma: gamma2
local dimming: on
Color: user
Scenario: movie
Speed: 240Hz

WHQD @240Hz with unknown connector on the graphic card and unknown monitor port.
I Dont understand. I tried different GPU port but the problem occurred again

No Will do . DP or HDMI ? I see DP cables that only 144@QHD will try to pick higher speed cable. This test will take time because it take several days until the flicker happen again after changing adaptive sync setting

Is this good/suitable cable for 240hz@QHD ?

Do you have FreeSync enabled in Radeon Settings? Variable refresh rate can cause screen flicker if frame rate goes out of band. This occurs on NV and Intel hardware as well. It's because the frame rate of whatever is on screen goes below your panel's refresh rate. Unfortunately the only fix is to disable FreeSync.

It was. Now I disable it from the monitor itself and waiting to see if it will happen again. When the flicker happen then disable and then enable adaptive sync from the monitor the problem is fixed then it happen again after random days.

I set it to disable and will wait and see.

Thanks to all

Disabling FreeSync will return the display to a fixed refresh rate. This will get rid of the flickering, but may make frame rate stuttering more noticeable. If possible, set the Radeon Settings application to disable FreeSync in windowed games. This is NOT the "optimization for windowed games" in Windows settings, that's completely unrelated.

And to answer your previous question, yes, MPOs work on AMD.
