I'm really used to reddit, Slack, etc. where content formatting is done using Markdown. E.g. **this would become bold** and _this would be italicised_ and [this would be a hyperlink](https://www.techpowerup.com). But sadly these forums don't support MD, which sucks because I keep trying to use it, nothing happens, and then I have to go back and fix up my post.

Would it be possible to add MD support for posts?

Agreed, it would be a great help. If it's not to costly to configure/implement.

This seems like a huge change, I thinkyou have to ask the people who make the XenForo software

Markdown is useful but XenForo is crazy easy -
CTRL+B = bold
CTRL+I = italic
CTRL+U = underline
CTRL+K = hyperlink

I guess if you're on your phone the inability to use keyboard shortcuts are inferior to Markdown but hey, phone users have to put up with a huge number of compromises already, pressing a GUI button for those functions is arguably better than the additional effort that special characters for **bold** and _italic_ text involve using an on-screen keyboard...
