Strange post I know, but I need to find one. I thought my g700s died almost 2 years ago and I packed it away. Brought it up and tried it on my newer sytem, it works perfect! Seems old x58 mobos have all kinds of weird crap going on.... So now have both the corsair and lg mice going, but I'm remembering how much I liked the 700s, the scroll wheel, the tilt for scroll left/right, the unlock button... it's genius for surfing. I'm probably going to put the corsair away for backup. Do I have to spend 30+ can on ebay to get a receiver, or is there something cheaper I can use? Of course I'm just using it wired, but I still have to put a battery in it to keep it flashing red for battery warning, so I might as well get it wireless as well....

Can't use a 3rd party reciver (like the unifying one)... however if you deal with logitech's good support they may give you a new mouse... just be nice and at least they will prolly give you a reciver.

I think the receiver for the G700/s and the unifying receiver are different, but maybe compatible? I've never tried pairing my G700s with a unifying receiver...

According to logitech the G700s isn't compatible with the unifying receiver.

It does look like you can get the receiver cheaper than $30 on ebay though.

You can use any Logitech Unifying receiver with that G700s, and unlike other wireless input devices - there is no hardwired dependency between a device and a receiver.

There are few options under $30:
- Buy any cheap used Logitech wireless KB or Mouse with genuine unifying receiver (MK520 or K400 can be found as low as $10-15 with receiver)
- Get a chinese knock-off for $5-$7. It's a typical Nordic-based receiver with original Logitech firmware (100% identical to the original one)
- Get something else you might use, like a Logitech F710 gamepad, and use it's receiver for all of your devices. NRF24LU1 supports up to 6 slave devices on a single receiver.

EDIT: Scratch all of the above. G-series receiver is incompatible with Unifying, but replacements are still relatively affordable.

Chinese clones also will work:
