I have a Nzxt N7 Z590 mb and a i5 11600k

specs are 3.9ghz stock, max boost on all cores is 4.6ghz and peak i 4.9ghz

When trying 4.9ghz and using throttlestop + occt i get power limit to an extend where cores go to 100c

Stock with raised pl,current so it doesn't throttle, temps are under 80c, at 4.7ghz it could be avarage 80c

Can i adjust my cpu so it boost to 4.7 ghz on all cored, threads but don't go higher then 4.9ghz ?

Bonus question: If i go from a 240mm aio in the top of my case to the same aio in 360mm in the front, how much lower temps can i expect and will i be more likely to get pump noise mounted in the front ?

If you don't overclock it, it's highest turbo at stock is 4,9Ghz so it will never run faster...

About the CPU temperature, if you have a well ventilated case you can just aircool it with a good cooler, I wouldn't bother cool this CPU with an AIO...

If you want to set an max all core 4,7Ghz you should be able to set this in the BIOS or use intel XTU.

Either your cooling solution isn't the best or your case has no proper ventilation and/or your ambient temp is high...

It will run faster on all cores, threads, in gaming it will max run at 4.6ghz stock

I want to raise base boost clook on all cores, threads without effecting max, peak boost clock 4.9ghz

If you want to set an max all core 4,7Ghz you should be able to set this in the BIOS or use intel XTU.

It's not a static oc it's just a high boost clock on all core without raising max, peak boost which it won't run at for a longer time

Can it be set like this in the bios ?

Sure, just set all multipliers at 47/4,7Ghz in your BIOS.

Not an option, it won't boost til 4.9ghz on how many core, threads it will do that

Using XTU it boost on all core to 4.7 ghz but peaks at 4.9ghz, on, i think all cores, threads but for alot shorter time than 4.7ghz which it should be possible to do as long as there is power and no overheating

Use Intel XTU to set per core OC, and a mild undervolt.

You should be able to get 5.0 on 1/2 cores, 4.9 on 3/4 and 4.8 on all cores.

Not all 11600k can do 5.0ghz

Im doing throttle stop and of course raise current, power if theres a limit according to throttlestop, which makes it hot at 4.9ghz on all core, threads

My Ryzen 7 5800X runs hotter, even at stock, at least my batch. It's regularly 82C-84C. I haven't tested my 10600K with an OC, yet, though.

Use Intel XTU to set per core OC, and a mild undervolt.

You should be able to get 5.0 on 1/2 cores, 4.9 on 3/4 and 4.8 on all cores.
Should check with Linpack. If Linpack shows an error, it most likely is the Vcore being too low.

use occt, it's quick to show any errors or aida64 stability test

Raising power limit and current limit effects heat, not as much now as when it was hot 3-4 hours ago

When having most on stock at 4.9ghz it throttles after less then 5 min to 4.7 or 4.6ghz,raising power, current limit is nesseary to avoid throttling = more heat

The original OCCT test never found any problem, at least with the version that OCCT had years ago with my CPU core OCs, when Linpack was fast to error out.

Unless you mean with Linpack.

I now have tuned, oced, under clocked my cpu but i have a delima, problem with cooling

215 watt long term power limit, short is set to 251 watt, i need to do that or else it throttles

avx 4.6ghz, turbo 4.7ghz (all cores, threads it can do 24/7), 4.9ghz max boost speed

My 30 day old (15 of may) cooler master aio i noticed today half an hour to an hour ago is noisy

I know many aio's are noisy BUT when i first have started to notice something, i want to do something about it

Can try my 120mm corsair aio, mabye not power full enough but despite also not being 100% silent, quiet from the pump, it's much more comfortable to listen to, no high pitch sounds and no (knock on wood) air noise from the pump, just a nicer deep rumble.

I really really like aio's with there ability to handle more power full cpu's compared to air coolers, not so much a noisy pump

Air coolers no pump noise but can't handle high end cpu's as good as an aio

I have had a be quiet dark rock pro 4, hate that you have to mount the middle fan without the gpu on the mb and the hassle of not seen the clips trying to mount the fans when the rest is in the case (fuma 2 is much better but cooler like that are hard to find, the fuma 2 is very hard to find, mine needs the middle fan (it's not just a regular fan), performance is not amongst the best but not bad either)

I might need an air cooler with a high tdp, which ?

I don't want something that is less then super easy to mount also the fan(s)
