Imo that's not a problem with the power supply but the fact that you cant SLi different cards...

Stick with a good 750w which is a good middle ground. Don't waste money on a 1k PSU. hardware is getting more power efficient.

Even though you have a 650 Watts PSU, it should at least start with these 2 cards.
(assuming you have all power connectors connected)

Yea but my pc wont start when in add gtx 1060, i tried to run gtx 1060 alone is working fine, is that could be bios setting?

Oh i think it is because of 6 pin connector issue, which i got with gpu in box, if i use psu one and gpu works, but not working with that wire, see the picture one wire missing? Or its normal?

Is corsair rm1000watt good psu?

If you're looking for a good power supply maker... go with Seasonic , or EVGA, maybe corsair.

Personally I tend to put the most importance on my power supply purchases, just because they're one of the few components that can potentially take down the entire PC if things go bad.

I can't really find a situation where the words "cheap and good" or "cheap and quality" match up in the over thousand watt power supply category. Unless by "cheap" you mean around $200. I'm sure you can find a rosewell or something for 120 bucks that's 1000 W with a couple good reviews but I would hesitate personally to purchase one of those myself. In the end you get what you pay for often

here are some i would buy. Based on my search forming this list I would say for $150-$180 you should be able to get away with 1000 W power supply and not lose too much sleep

where are you going to put these mining cards.. in a normal PC case.. if so.. you will be limited to two cards.. a 1070 will draw around 120 watts a 1060 maybe 100 watts.. lets say 400 watts from the wall for the entire machine..

for two cards you will not need a 1000 psu end of story.. :)

if you are going to build an open frame mining machine you are best using more than one psu.. start off with a 750 watt and add another when needed.. when needed will be when you go over cards or five cards..

Due to the odd power spike your better off slightly higher than that ,two 1060s on one 750 watt psu that i have has had many resart issues that only lowering the power draw helped, mining causes massive spikes I've noted.

Mining is not like gaming and even tuned for efficiency nvidia cards still spike , which can cause instability.

for two cards you will not need a 1000 psu

this is only for 2 (TWO) 1060's ?! i thought it was 4 or atleast 3, there is no way in hell you need 1000W for 2x1060, unless your intending to add more later on.

ive run SLI GTX970's on my Current rig, at full 100% draw for hours on end, and never had a single issue, im sure mining might possibly draw more Wattage, but im running a 650 Watt EVGA G2, the 1060 draws a good bit LESS power than a 970, so even a 750W would be over kill.

1060

970

if a 650Watt PSU runs 2x 970's fine, im confident a 650W would run 2x 1060 just fine, maybe a 750W (for a headroom buffer)since its mining 24/7, but certainly not a 1000W(except if your planning to expand)

If you did read the OP, you would know OP has a GTX1070 and just bought a GTX1060, he just wants to use both cards in the same system for mining presumably.

Is corsair rm1000watt good psu?
Yes, but you don't need a 1000 watt PSU. Those VS series PSU's are Corsair's entry level PSU, and I sure would not recommend them for what it appears you want to do with it. The RMxxxxX series is their lower high-end PSU's and are fine. The VS650 has 2 PCI-e power connectors, the RM650X has 4.
If run single gtx 1060 pc wont run
Using the PCI=-e power connections from your PSU or the adapter that came with the GPU?

I don't believe @jboydgolfer is mining ,he is on the ragged edge of what his psu will do though(imho no big OC etc)
His psu is likely a single rail where's your psu will likely have two or more and you are overloading an individual rail not persay the whole psu , thinking reasonably about it i have this issue with my 750 watt psu running two 1060s but its also not a single rail ,i had forgot this detail , the right single rail 750watt psu could do it but even then I personally would go 850 watts while mining to keep the load in the PSUs most efficient band , plus there are spikes lol.

Yea even single only one card gtx 1060 not running wth wire which came with box but work with psu wires, problem is i only have 2 wires from psu and gtx 1070 would take that.
Dont know why connector which came with box not working or what problem.

Was that provided by the GPU manufacturer?

Edit: I just went and found one of those that I have and it is also missing that one connector, but I've never had a problem with them, even when I overloaded a Fatality 550 one time. You are plugging in BOTH molex connectors?
